The deck is finished...

Actually the deck has been finished for a couple weeks now, but I'm just getting around to posting pics... There are a few little quirks in construction if you look close enough, but we are really happy with it and the price was right! We're so grateful that we were able to have this built and in time for summer. The pool is open and looking beautiful already - just trying to get it to warm up! We're enjoying the deck immensely even though we haven't been swimming yet!

Pretty much ready...

The baby's room is pretty much finished! I still need to hang a couple things on the walls and get a couple basket liners, but I think we're ready! Oh, I have some lady bug decals to put on the walls too, but I want to hang a shelf first. Here are some pictures of the room!

Nope...

No, I haven't had the baby yet. I'm just too tired to post anything... We're trying to slow down our schedule as I'm increasingly more tired and uncomfortable. Just hoping baby Milo will come soon. Sometime soon I'll try to post more. Just had Morgan and Amy (and Amy's sister Kendra), and Mark and Linea over for a lovely little Memorial Day BBQ. Awesome time of games and food!

And tomorrow we get to celebrate our 3rd Anniversary!!! Wow! I can't believe that 3 years have gone by! Its been an absolutely wonderful 3 years, and God blessed me with the best husband I could hope for. I can't wait for the next three years and the three after that! I love you Honey! :)

5/7/08 Eight Months!

Here it is! The long awaited (and slightly late!) 8 month shot! I think I look pretty tired... I am... I'm ready to be done! Besides - If I go by my first due date (5-31-08) I have only 20 days to go! But then, I guess it still may be closer to 27 days... (06-07-08). And that is a much "cooler" due date!
But seriously - that soccer ball is getting heavy!!! (and making it very hard to sleep...) I should be in church right now, but by the time either of us got any sleep last night (poor Kris) it was about 5am! I didn't really have any reflux issues till last week - and last night was the worst!

4/27/08 New Curtains!

Yeah! We finally hung curtains in our living room - only a year later! We've actually had them for a couple months - just didn't get them hung - I can't believe how much better the room looks with them!


The shorter ones on the smaller winder I was able to get hemmed and Ironed the other day before all the family was here for Linea's wedding - The longer ones may have to wait till after the baby comes - to hard to get around to do it! Though they do look much better when they're done! I'll take "finished product" pictures later! The floor length ones I actually really like like that, but they have to hemmed a little because when they're closed they cover the heating duct right in the middle... I'll get to it eventually. I wish I could have bought them already hemmed, but the windows are so big that it was virtually impossible to get curtains made-to-fit. ....Well - unless I wanted to spend close to 800$!! (As is was it was unbelievably expensive to get the curtains and rods for this room! Wow - things are so expensive! I'm very happy with how they look though and it brightens up the room nicely!

4/22 - 4/24/08 New Deck!

We had a lovely new deck built! Its a step down deck from the one we already had off the dining room on the back of the house. Problem was - the stairs on the old deck were never built to code and were very dangerous. Plus in order to get to the pool, you had to go down the bad stairs to the ground and then climb the rickety pool ladder to get into the pool. Woohoo! We had the old bad stairs taken off and now there are stairs that go from the old deck to the new deck - then to the ground. The new deck is at pool level and will make access so much easier! We are so excited for the summer! Pool party anyone?!?!

These are just a few pictures of the progress - I'll have to take a couple of the finished product! The pool is open and though its freezing cold the water is chemically perfect - we're off to such a better start than last year! I can't wait to swim! We love the deck and can't wait to spend lots of time out there!

Side Note: Yesterday was our One year anniversary of being in this house already!!! I can't believe its been a year! We're loving it ...and so happy we don't have to move this year!

4-19-08 Baby Shower

My dear friend Bridget threw me a lovely baby shower! What a blessing - and she did such a lovely job (If you need a party - she is your planner!) It was an awesome little tea party theme and looked so nice. What a blessing it all was too! I couldn't have imagined all the things "needed" for a baby - and I just want to go simple! Wow - Thank you all so much! I promise - I'll get those thank you notes out - as soon as I can feel my fingers again!

So far behind...!

Oh, my - I have so many posts to catch up on! I have a whole collection of pictures that I've been meaning to post and just no time to do it! I've been constantly busy with one thing or another... still working full time (not sure how I get up and go to work in the morning!), and in all my spare time (when I'm not trying to sleep) trying to finish things up for baby preparation... I had to get a few more things for the nursery - some of which I now have to return cause they didn't work or were broken, nailing down a pediatrician, Lamaze classes, parenting classes at our church, trying to write thank you notes for my baby shower (proving to be difficult because my hands are completely numb after one note - side note, if there are a lot of typo's I'm sorry - can't feel the keys either...), Linea's wedding and all my family being at our house, Statia still living downstairs and trying to help with her bridal shower, etc. Just a few of the things I've been keeping occupied with! Meanwhile my dear hubby is doing all the yard work and got the pool opened by himself - beautifully. I hate not being able to help with some of this stuff but I can't bend over well, my hips hurt and I can't do any heavy lifting! Oh, my - I just can't wait to be useful again! I hate not being able to help Kris with some of the stuff around here, but he doesn't complain at all and has been wonderful to me!
